I remember when someone first described the Bible as the greatest love story ever written. As a typical girl who loves Rom Coms somehow that just made sense.
When you’re in the middle of those types of movies it seems like nothing is going right. It’s confusing. And frustrating. And seems endlessly hopeless like things will never work out…
BUT THEN something changes because little does the main character know “the love” that they were seeking was also seeking them.
When you get to the “happy ending” it’s only then they have the perspective that the mess in the middle was necessary.
It’s the set up. The climax. The foundation of faith, knowledge and connection to know that the “right” one has now been found. It’s what gives them the completeness to know when the search is finally over and their heart can finally feel full.
So if you’re feeling stuck somewhere in the middle have enough faith to know it’s nowhere near over. Your story is still being written and it’s filled with the greatest presence of love at every page turn.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13 NIV
Here’s a challenge. Read some of your favorite scriptures and see if you can connect with the love story analogy I used. Does it change your perspective or connection in any way to either what you’re reading out what you’re personally experiencing in life right now?
And here’s the greatest question–Does it allow you to move with a greater peace of love and faith?
