If I could erase one word from the modern dictionary it would be hustle.
Let me explain. Hustle (to me) has an energy of hard, hurried, exhaustive.
And what I want more of in my life is freedom, peace, and ease.
So there’s a disconnect for me personally with “hustle” to my ultimate desired results.
For me “hustle” comes from a place of lack and the feeling of not currently having enough.
It comes from a false belief that we are not in this moment exactly where we need to be. And if we don’t work ourselves until we’re completely worn out we may miss it.
As a matter of fact when I feel like I’m “hustling” it’s the greatest sign that I’m not working with a sense of faith.
What I do believe in is working with excellence. Removing limiting beliefs and taking full advantage of your 24 hours a day which includes the spiritual practice of rest.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,”
Colossians 3:23 NIV
So if you took out the word hustle from your vocabulary what word would you replace it with? (would love to know what you choose in the comments below)
Here’s a hint.
A) there’s no right or wrong answer
b) you decide how you want to feel
C) think about your long term goals not just your short term game
OH, and before we put away our dictionary, if you’ve taken the Put Your Dream to the Test course, you know I’d take the scissors to quit, can’t and impossible TOO!
